The 2016 evolution of the 4 cam GPS builds on the amazing raw speed, lightweight and handling of the 2015. We have reduced the directness slightly and given the sail a little softer feel with more dynamic twist. Power is directly translated to speed so the ability to keep the sail locked down and sheeted in no matter what delivers genuine speed benefits. In testing the sail has proven easier to sail with higher average speeds.
New materials for 2016 include the improved LightWhite® laminate used in the leech and the addition of Technora to the MPKT6 sleeve material for lower stretch. The front of the mast sleeve is made from our new Ox Webbing so rigging is smooth and fast, and it is impossible to damage the front of the sleeve at all.
Sail shape is cleaner and with our new diagonal triple clew position, you can tune the leech tension simply by choosing different clew grommets. The small sizes 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 have been significantly softened with more twist to better handle the large gusts and variations in wind speed inherent in strong wind sailing.
